Five images from the series Sanatorium by Ryan Koopmans will be exhibited during the Western Canada Showcase of the 2021 FENCE exhibition in Calgary, Canada.
Photoville FENCE is a year-round public photography exhibit in major parks and downtowns across North America. The work is printed on large banners for passersby to experience photo stories from around the world.
Koopmans' series explores the abandoned Soviet-era sanatoriums found in the outskirts of Western Georgia.
